New Delhi: The swell results of demonetisation has not saved the high-security Parliament Home complicated too. On Friday, the second day of the Winter Period, ATMs went dry at Parliament Home, resulting in extreme frustration among those covered up in the line.
Hoping to acquire much-needed money, many individuals, mostly Parliament employees, protection authorities and some reporters, queued up at the two ATMs in Parliament Home in the mid-day. But their delay converted useless as the money selling devices were not filled again during the day.
Hoping the ATMs would be refreshed in the night, individuals again queued up but yet again they were remaining dejected.
“The RBI and the office of the Prime Minister are found just a few metres from here, but even then they could not offer money. Think about the scenario in ATMs outside Parliament,” said a man disappointed over his delay going in useless.
Later at the Main Area, a union minister speaking with reporters, quipped “Only when the govt has money will it fill the ATMs.”
